Jr. Production Manager (maternity leave cover)

Job description

We are looking for a Junior Footwear Production Manager to cover for a maternity leave. A person who is incredibly structured, well organised and able to handle all day to day activities and challenges around footwear production. This is a fulltime temporary role for a period of at least 6 months.


  • Managing production timelines and ensuring qualitative end results and timely deliveries
  • Acting as the gatekeeper between the HQ and the team on the ground in Portugal
  • Overseeing production schedules, sampling and production activities 
  • Handling incoming request from the design department
  • Coordinating ongoing projects within the production department
  • Coordinating special projects, such as collaborations and SMU production runs
  • Maintaining project overview and updating project management tools (Monday)
  • Working closely with the supporting teams to gather data for the improvement of quality
  • Coordinate financial activities in collaboration with the finance department
  • Gathering reports from the production team in Portugal
  • Creating purchase orders in the ERP system (Exact)
  • Overseeing and updating margin overviews
  • Ensuring all involved teams meet their deadlines
  • Supporting the head of production with daily tasks


  • Experience in a similar function is a must
  • Knowledge and understanding of shoe development and production
  • You are analytical, highly accurate and incredibly structured 
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written
  • Speaking Portugese is preferred, but not a must
  • Experienced with usage of Excel
  • Experience with Exact is preferred, but not a must
  • You are an excellent communicator and have a big love for efficiency
  • You have what it takes to get what you need in a timely manner
